I am really excited to feature Radiant Ideas for our Store Spotlight!

When Tara first ordered from us, she had many questions about our journals and whether they were ecofriendly. Making our lines ecofriendly had been one of my top priorities, but it seemed like something always came up that pushed it down on the to-do list. After talking with Tara, I started doing some research on the paper that we used. From then on, I began a process (that still continues today) of making sure that our supplies and materials were ecofriendly. Thanks so Tara's vision and inquiry, all of our paper products are now either 100% recycled or tree free and ecofriendly. We are also in the process of only using recycled sterling silver for our jewelry. Our packing supplies are even ecofriendly! We either use bubble wrap that we get from people who would otherwise throw it away or our own recycled paper that we have turned into shred. It's a lifelong process to become more and more ecofriendly, and I can't thank Tara enough for helping us become more aware.

I asked her a few questions about her shop, and here are her answers:

Please tell us all about your store and what makes it unique.

Radiant Ideas sells world-friendly gifts and décor that are of premium quality. We try to find unique items that are made from ecofriendly materials such as recycled, sustainable, and organic supplies. In addition, we also feature fair trade certified items that ensure the artisans are paid a fair wage and work in a safe environment.

What do you like most about working in your store?

I like sharing new ecofriendly products with the world that aren’t “granola.”

What would you love for your customers to take with them after shopping in your store (not in product – but in their experience)?

I hope my store inspires others to live more carefully and think about how their everyday purchases affect the world.

What is your best selling product from This Is It! Creations?

The Dream Journal has been very popular.

What’s on the horizon for you and your store?

We are continuing to add new ecofriendly products and hope to expand into accessories in 2009.
